Our farm is located at the start of the natural oasis of the Mezzano Valleys and in the centre of the Ferrara countryside. We are surrounded by nature and true local rurality, particularly suitable for couples and families and for all those who wish to escape from the daily chaos in search of rest and tranquility in the absolute silence of the countryside.

Our greatest strengths are relaxation, contact with nature and the excellent ferrarese cuisine!

Within our business we also sell fruit and vegetables that we produce ourselves, which we also use in our restaurant to create our menu at the farm. Our restaurant specialises in the preparation of typical Ferrara dishes and was a champion of peasant cuisine at Agri&Tur in 2007.

What is an Agriturismo?

Agriturismo is a form of tourism in which tourists can stay on a farm.

This dictionary definition represents exactly what we are: we are first of all a farm; we are a traditional farmhouse where agricultural activity remains prevalent, with a small but friendly family-run structure.

However, we believe it is useful to clarify the type of services we offier, what you will find and what you will not find at Agriturismo Trava to help you make the best choice for your stay:

You will not find specialised and uniformed hotel staff but you will be welcomed by the owners of the company, often in work clothes, endowed with good will, availability and in-depth knowledge of local culture and catering;

You will not find a multi-active and operational 24h / 24h reception since, as specified above, the day is dedicated to agricultural activity, cultivation and cooking, so expect a little delay in replying, though for emergencies you can contact us by phone;

You will not find hi-tech accommodations equipped with every comfort, but rustic, simple, quiet and welcoming rooms;

You will not find a wide varied menu with national dishes, but menus with traditional local dishes, cooked with the products of our company and products of mainly regional origin;

Finally, observing our endless countryside you will be able to stumble upon tractors, various equipment, forks, boots, etc ... do not be disturbed, this is agriculture and it is the engine of our plain!
